Use Daili’s optional English voice entry when a purchase is fresh in your mind. Speak the expense, review the recognized details, and make corrections before it becomes part of your daily budget.

Enable voice entry in Settings.
Download the voice model in Daili and allow microphone access when you use the feature. Recognition runs on your Android phone after setup, including offline. Reinstalling or re-enabling voice entry can require another model download.
Voice entry is optional. Manual expense entry is always available, so you can keep logging purchases when speaking is inconvenient or you do not want to enable the microphone. The model needs additional storage, and processing speed varies by phone.
Describe one expense clearly.
For example, say “coffee, four dollars and seventy-five cents.” Use a short description and the amount you want to record. Daili’s voice entry supports English; speaking another language may produce inaccurate results.
A quieter setting can make speech easier to recognize. Background conversations, unusual names and unclear amounts can lead to mistakes. The review screen is where you check what was recognized, correct the amount or description, and save when the record is right.
Review before the budget changes.
Speaking an expense is a shortcut into entry, not a reason to skip checking it. Compare the recognized amount with what you paid. Once you save, the expense contributes to your daily spending and the allowance based on your plan.
For a printed purchase with several items, you may prefer receipt scanning. Both methods help you create an expense record that you review yourself. Neither requires a bank login or automatically fetches your transactions.
Your microphone audio stays with the device.
The developer does not receive your microphone audio or budget records. Read the app privacy policy for the behavior of your installed version, including temporary audio and model downloads. See the offline budgeting guide for which features need a connection during setup.
