Daili’s optional receipt scanner helps you capture an everyday purchase on Android. Scan the receipt, check the merchant, total and line items, then save the expense to your budget.

Set up receipt scanning once.
Enable receipt scanning in Daili’s Settings and download the model. The camera needs your permission to capture a receipt. Once the model is installed, recognition runs on your phone, including without an internet connection. Reinstalling or re-enabling the feature can require another download.
You can use manual expense entry whether or not receipt scanning is enabled. The optional model requires additional storage, and recognition speed depends on the device.
Make the receipt easy to read.
Keep the receipt flat and well lit, with the printed details visible in the camera. Blurred text, glare, folds and unusual layouts can make recognition less reliable. If the result misses a detail, correct it in the review step or enter the purchase by hand.
Check the total against the printed receipt, especially where discounts, tax or a tip are involved. Review the merchant and item amounts before saving. Recognition is a starting point for an expense record, not a guarantee that every number was read correctly.
Keep the purchase in your plan.
After you review and save, the expense becomes part of the spending you track in Daili. You can see what is left today and keep your broader spending pace in view. The app does not need a bank connection to record the purchase.
This feature is for personal expense entry. It does not submit a reimbursement claim, prepare a tax return or award receipt rewards. You choose what belongs in your budget and check the saved details.
Where does recognition happen?
Recognition runs on your Android device after setup. The developer does not receive your receipt photos or budget records. See the app privacy policy for local photo storage, deletion, optional backup and model downloads. If a receipt is not handy, English voice entry is another optional way to add an expense.
Questions about receipt scanning
Does the receipt scanner work offline?
Yes, after its model has been downloaded. Installation, updates or downloading the model again require a connection.
Can I correct a scanned receipt?
Yes. Review the recognized details and make corrections before saving the expense.
